Stilettoes On Wheels 2013

After the success of last years races that saw over 120 women take part over the two rounds in blissful testosterone free competition. They are back for 2013 and even bigger and better than ever!

This years Sheffield round is being held on the excellent recently restored trails at Rother Valley Country Park. More information from organiser Emma here…

The northern round of the race has a new venue and will be taking place at Rother Valley Country Park between Sheffield and Rotherham on Saturday 18th May. The team at Rother Valley have been putting lots of work into developing trails in the park in some of the less well know areas and have built some great singletrack descents which we’ll be linking together for our race course. Rother Valley Country Park has strong roots in the Sheffield mountain bike scene. It was one of the venues that Beighton All Terrain Squad (BATS) used to hold their races and was the first place that Steve Peat ever raced.

Entry is open now an there is £5 off as an early bird discount until midnight on 28th February.

We have prizes lined up from our generous sposors Ana Nichoola, Bamboo Bikes, Morvelo, Mt Zoom, Osprey, Torq Fitness and more being confirmed. JE James Cycles will be at Rother Valley offering tech support so you have have your bike checked before the race or repaired should you have a mechanical part way through.

There is a cafe on site at Rother Valley and proper toilets near the start / finish of the course and lots of other activities for any spectators. You can find out more about the park on their website. The park has a £3.50 parking charge although if you have a marshal in your car you will get free parking

Marshalls are amazing people without which we couldn’t put the race on so if you would like to marshall or know someone who would then please email to sign up. Marshalls will reveice free lunch and we’re working on a 2013 marshall sponsor.

If you have any questions about the Sheffield area race then please let us know at or go to
